Any Questions? (and a look at my first semester)

sigma phi is my top choice pre-rush. por que?

How easy are the honorary societies?

easy? what do you mean?

honorary societies? what are you talking about?

i think demsc means frats and sorss...are there any fras where they don't party nd are filled with RoboCup and SAE members??? just curious

and btw sparty...ur 6' 5"!!! can't believe i missed that! wow...what do u do...100pull-up's a day?

Damn I wish I could do pullups to make myself taller . . .
Is that your secret Sparty?

pullups (palms facing away) are mad hard if you're tall cause you have so much arm and so much weight hanging off them in your torso and legs. I can do like 9 consecutive...and no that's not my secret haha.

there are some very academically oriented greek societies.

pfft...

I'm only 6' 2" but I could take all you punks

I dunno, I wouldn't want to mess with Arjun . . .

aw, im taller than all the guys :(

What's the difference btw a major and a minor? Apart from the fact that you get a dgree in one but not the other. For example if I want to take History as a minor subject, how much of it would I be covering?

FUC|<, I posted my scientific discovery on size of girls in the wrong thread. Damn alcohol. Also pull-ups are not about arm strength and height. Back muscles are actually crucial. I'm on the heavy side (180's during breaks, almost 200 during school) and I used to be able to do less then 5 pull-ups. Then I started doing deadlifts and cleans (back exercises) and now I can do 20 pull-ups on a good fresh day. I’m pretty excited for rush as well. I’m on the other side and it’s not quite as fun, but it is still a blast. I’d recommend people who aren’t interested in rushing to still come up. It’s probably the second best week of the year at Cornell, second only to orientation.

I'm really looking forward to rush, its like orientation except with purpose plus we all have some idea of what we're doing.

That's cool, I'm 6'5" too. I'm talking more specifically about Phi Tau Sigma, but I found the requirements. Also, what are the specific differences among the frats? Is there a specific characteristic for each? I never really understood the concept...

Are all of the frats kind of the same? Because there was this kid at a friends house that was in some MIT frat and was telling me about it. Basically he said they just ate chips and played video games and talked astrophysics.... any frats like that to watch out for?

We have around 50 frats and each has their own reputation. Nerd, jock, football, hockey, navy, chemistry, engineer, hotelie, black, asian, rich white kids, jews, druggies. With so many to choose from, there's one for everybody.

whew...i forgot all about this thread...:D
mercury...
"there's one for everybody".....really??? is there like a gay frat..:D
dont answer....i know that was STUPID AND EEEEW.
;)

asp

"for a Neandrothal roamin the Cornell cnavas who calls himself callthecops2 on CC"

uh...i know you said that eons ago.....:D...but:

Neanderthals had a larger CC...than modern humans..
CC = cranial capacity not college confidential :)

There is a frat that's notoriously gay.

Neal and Slurp-it :)

What's the chemisrty frat? and is their an unofficial student site or other source that "classifies" each of the frats?
