"In the event of a more serious emergency requiring the evacuation of the Academy, students will be sent to St. Paul's by buses provided by the state."

(More inland, yet close by, I guess.) Not sure if this is true vice versa as well.

Thats hilarious, Blair. Cozying up with the kids at SPS... that would be hard, because Exeter is about twice as big!!

Cots in the gym, Blair? :)

2 years ago when they had to evacuate SPS due to severe flooding, they were able to place all the students with classmate's families from the surrounding area.

Well, they canceled school for the year...and graduation, too...so I'm sure that it was only the students who couldn't get out of the Concord-Manchester area who lagged behind with the area families.

That might be fun, actually. I wonder how serious it would have to be? Bombing? Or just a visit from Bush? :)

Nice, Blair. :)

totally random, but how do you guys pronounce my username? haha
do you pronounce it like.. EM- soo or MUHSOO or EM ES YOO or whatever other way

em-ss-yoo.

em-ess-u.

like blair. i think.

I have a question.

From my posts, on the Myers-Briggs scale, what personality do you think I have, for those of you who know how the system works.
Basically, if it's like, there are 4 letters - such as INTJ. I would be Introverted, N would be Intuitive, T would be thinking, and J would be judging. Judging can mean many different things - judging your environment, so extremely neat, judging other people, judging your relationships with them (always need closure, cant have wishy-washy relationships, not sure about them), etc. So it's either I or E (extraverted or introverted), then N or S for the next one (intuitive or sensing, being intuitive or taking things at face value), F or T for feeling or thinking (judging things based on feelings or based on logic), and then of course J or P for Judging or Perceiving (less flexible, flexible, etc.)

That's just a base.

another note:

today, when i picked up my bike for repair (I was hit by a SUV), i talked to the owner for a bit about shipping it to Exeter, and he said, "Exeter? For school, right? My sister went there!" And so we talked about boarding schools for a few minutes..Turns out his kids applied to Thacher (but weren't accepted because they weren't admitting any more California kids because they want to diversify), his brother went to Tabor, and another sister went to a day school in RI..... Very close to my experience.

And I visited my doctor the other day, and in the waiting room, theres a wall of his diplomas, certifications, etc. (there must have been 15 separate certificates).. and one happened to be from Deerfield. He embodies what I imagine when I think of Deerfield -- a successful old man.

i would guess eitp

i forget what mine is... i def. got it, though.
