Any RD acceptance notifications yet?

^^ aww, so negative...

yes!! got one!! Haven't checked mail in a while, dad found it there this afternoon XD

ssoooo happy!!

so if I'm a multicultural student and haven't received anything by tomorrow, should I assume they didn't accept me?

wait, so ONLY the multicultural students have gotten notifications already? i
m asian, but i haven
t gotten anything .. then again, i didn`t put down my ethnicity in my application, so would that be a possible reason?

what about the Olin school? have ALL accepted people gotten an email, or just some?

I just got the acceptance letter for WashU the other day. I applied as a transfer student for the fall of 2008. I had sent in the applications during the first week of February and got the decision within a month.

woo I got into wash u

guys i have a question. i didnt recieve the olin business school acceptence email. were the only people who recieved this email minorities or were there white americans also who recieved it??? thanks guys

okay, i just called the admissions office, and was transferred to an admissions officer, and she told me that not ALL students were notified, only people who are finalists for scholarships and students who were invited to the multicultural weekend. she was really vague about whether ALL multicultural students were notified or not though :/ she also said that those students should have received their letter by now.

but then again she also said that since i didn`t put down my ethnicity in my application, that could be a factor in my not getting an invitation soo yeahh..

so if i am asian and did not receive a letter i was rejected?

I don't know if all asians would be informed of going to this weekend, but I'm wondering because I'm hispanic and I haven't gotten a letter :(

to above 2 posters:

I'm part hispanic and part asian. I think that's why I was invited. I know smoeone who is part asian and part caucasian and said person wasn't. Pretty strange :/

Hey everyone, I am just 100% Chinese, and I just got the letter today for Multicultural Weekend, so they do invite some Asians. The letter was dated the 6th

i got one today too!

yeah, so I just got off the phone with the Admissions Office and they said not all minorities who are accepted to WUSTL actually are invited (they also invite Caucasians as well, although not in a proportional manner to their student body demographics). Extrapolating a bit, I would assume that a certain percentage of their top applicants received the invitations (although it probably was geared more towards the minorities and less so towards Caucasians)

Congratulations to fellow acceptees. And to minorities w/o a invitation -- do not fret!

ward786: I was accepted to Olin through an e-mail. I am white. I'm not sure if all or only some of the acceptance notifications went out for Olin. Any other acceptances, though, it appears, are solely minority students. The reason I suspect that Olin students were notified early is because of the exploration weekend in early April which accepted business school students are invited to attend. The same would hold true for the multicultural weekend. They would like you to rsvp sooner rather than later. Hope that helps.

i guess i was rejected then =/

[white who applied to olin]

accepted to College of Architecture by mail today :D

hey guys. i've seen a few people post that they found out online/they've been checking their application status online. i thought wustl did everything my snail mail...am i mistaken? are all RD's released at this time? am i going to be getting a letter soon or can i check online now? HELP! thanks! :)

My sister got her acceptance letter today. She's relieved that she got into college.

i'm full french (born there and everything to french parents), would that qualify me for multi-cultural weekend? also has anyone heard from engineering?
