My son was accepted as well. Only 3.17/3.77 GPA (unweighted/weighted), but 34 ACT.

I got in as well as an out of state applicant with
GPA: 4.0 UW
New SAT: 1300
ECs: several clubs and academic competition teams (team captain for two). Also spent a year of high school abroad.
No APs but many dual enrollment college classes.

Does anyone have any idea what kind of stats are typically required for OOS merit aid?

Actually, I just saw on another thread that someone just got their UVM scholarship today. Just checked my D’s portal and indeed she received a President’s scholarship. Nice surprise since I wasn’t expecting to see anything till next week.

Merit scholarships are up on portals, President’s scholarship for my S. I wasn’t expecting it till next week either, S found it this afternoon. Very pleased.

@PCJazz, were you awarded merit$$ and do you think that best in state piano helped you get $$$ money?

elise303, Yes. Basically, I received the equivalent of In-State tuition. I have no idea why, but I’m sure that my piano skills didn’t hurt. So many different factors are considered by the committee. I bet that it is a “total package” approach. (talents, grades, test scores, interests, extracurriculars, State of residency, etc.)
