im a HS senior and im learning the material for the first time so i dont know which book to get. i heard princeton review's books weren't that well and kaplan's books just gave practice tests...........anyways what do you guys recommend?

I recommend that you go to college first, take most of the requisite courses, and then (and only then) start worrying about studying for the MCAT...seriously you only need about 3-4 months of prep, or 2 months of really intense preparation. Starting now is a waste of your time.

1] You're a highs chool senior. Get into college first.

2] So many ppl start off pre med, burn out, and drop.....you're going to burn out faster if you try to push yoursel fthrough this

3] the test isn't that bad. Don't make it your life.

4] What DO I recc then? Enjoy yourself while it lasts. You're thinking of entering a demanding field....so have fun right now.

er, yeah, you should already be well into your undergraduate studies before you start worrying about the MCAT.

Don't worry about the MCAT until you're about sophomore in college. You can't even begin studying for it until you've taken the classes anyway, so don't stress yourself out earlier than you need to. There will be plenty of time for that later. =)

maybe if you've taken ap bio, chem, and phys b, and studied organic chem by yourself, then it wouldn't be a waste of time to start studying now. examkrackers seems to have a monopoly on people who self study. kaplan and princeton review give courses that are much buxx.

no it would be a waste of time.

You don't need to study 3 years ahead of time. 3 months is enough.

The best books are examkrackers by far. If you want real pre-med advise I would go to www.studentdoctor.org. CC is not the place for this type of stuff.
