I just want to clarify, just wash u reject anyone, or simply waitlist those who are not accepted?

No one on this board was rejected, and what happens on CC is probably indicative of what happened to the overall applicant pool.

no way, people on this board are of much higher calibur than the average applicant.

I have generally noted the same trend.

any rejections????? i was almost sure i would get rejected, not even waitlisted, but i really want to attend wustl!

are you guys serious? no rejects?

Waitlisted

lol i know!!! I am looking for rejects here !!! anyone??

Come on there has to be one reject out there????!!!???

well, i do remember someone saying they had a friend who was rejected on the boards. but i don't know. at my school, 2 other people got waitlisted

my friend who was deferred ED II was rejected RD.

wow that makes ONE rejection...
how many people get accepted off the waitlist anyways? anyone know?

my friend who sits in front of me in physics got rejected..

I posted this on one of the Waitlist threads, but last year 3 kids from my D's school were waitlisted and then admitted, one for January though. So they do go to the waitlist.

That year they WL'd (or denied) everyone who applied RD; only admitted people ED.

This is nuts...why so few rejections? Is CC just full of overachievers?

Wait, they admitted their WHOLE class ED? Or did I miss something? Good lord.

i was rejected

WashU has a waitlisting policy. Basically, they only reject you if you're downright unqualified

i'm sorry paramdog! but if you dont mind me asking, what are your stats?

polonius, that makes sense, but where did you hear that?

I know someone at my school who applied ED I -- deferred, RD -- rejected. But she had subpar stats.. (1080 SAT, 590/640/660 SAT II, 2.8 GPA) Her guidance counselor told her not to apply there, but she decided to do so anyhow. I guess she blew her Guidance Counselor rec right there then -- when she told him in his face.. its my choice. :( Too bad for her, but she's gotten a scholarship from a lesser known school, so it's ok. :)
