Any safety school for MS in CS or HCI?

I currently have a 3.4 at UIUC CS with technical being around 3.35 (couple of very disgusting C's in core CS classes...)

My expected GRE score is around 5~600V - 77~800M and 3~4 A.

I have two internship experiences, and a mediocre research experience. (I am mostly interested in professional masters, since I am not interested in PhD).

My SOP will be okay I guess, with hopefully okay recommendations from professors.

I do know that CS masters admission is very competitive, and would like to know if there are any safety schools I should apply for.

Also, any suggestions in match schools will be great too.

I plan to apply to 5~6 schools (excluding UIUC, as I do not have the grades to get into BS/MS program).

Thanks

CMU, USC, UTA, they are great schools for you, depends where you want to spend you graduation life, and the specific area you are in

bumpity bump bump

I have known some Asian friends who can get in the CS program at USC with GRE-V of 400 and the similar GPA as yours. I guess USC admits lots of applicants (probably hundreads) each year while the number of applicants is not that huge.

With your profile, I believe USC may be one of your safety schools. Also, look at the USNews CS rank and pick some not-to-small programs below rank 30. They shold be good for you.
