I really like making formal study plans before I approach anything big, like a standardized test of the magnitude mentioned in the title. Anybody else the same way who wants to share their study plans?

i cram everything (or anything i feel like studying) in the last 2 days. That's if u had a good teacher. Otherwise...give yourself spring break to review. (for AP)....uh SAT II should be taken in conjuntion w/ AP subject, as much as possible (except Math)

I mean like formal Week by Week or Day by Day or whatnot study plans.

Those you'd have to do specifically by subject.

Not really, apart from reading review books and making notecards. This year, I tried to stay on a schedule of one chapter of REA a day, but this was rather unsuccessful, because I am the worst procrastinator, and I was so behind after only a couple of days.

Does REA just stand for reading?

REA is a brand of prep books I think. Their PreCalc book is quite good for Math2C reference.

Anyway. I personally don't think a week by week review plan is good use of time. You need to be flexible to make the most out of your time. What I usually do is take a practice test. Correct it. Jot down all the topics that I need to work on (it's not just the one's you missed. If you carefully go through corrections, you'll KNOW what you need to work on). Go through the reviewbooks/textbooks and review the topics that you need help on. Do a couple practice problems at the end of the chapter. Do another practice set. Depending on what type of test you're taking and what your level of understanding is, you'll need different amounts of time to prepare. For me, I usually start seriously reviewing 1 month before AP's and 2-3 weeks before SAT II's.

Well for SAT II's, I'm going to have to self study for physics, so I'm just planning on cramming all the information I could learn in physics in 3 weeks. The last week will be devoted to practice tests and correcting them. The last 2 days will be devoted to memorizing formulas.

Good luck to you.

Luckily, I'm taking SATII for Chemistry, which I just studied for AP.

Math IIC shouldn't be too bad.. just gotta be efficient and smart.

Taking practice tests is the best way to practice unless you have to learn the material for the test.. :P

in which case, taking practice tests and seeing what type of problems are on it / learning about what you get wrong could work.

Wow, it's late. Sleep time for me.

Ahh, well, in an attempt to raise my SAT score from my March score of 2100 to something a bit better (2250+ would be amazing...) I've made the following plan. I call it the "3-Weeks to NYU" plan, only because NYU places a great deal of emphasis on SAT scores due to the overwhelming amount of applications they receive.

WEEK 1:

Finish The Official SAT Online Course Lessons

Finish The Official SAT Online Course Quizzes

Finish NO FEAR VOCABULARY Chapters 1-8

Take Official SAT Online Course Pre-Test

Finish First 4 Lessons in Barron's NEW SAT Math Workbook

Finish First 4 Lessions in Barron's NEW SAT Verbal Workbook

WEEK 2:

Finish The Official SAT Online Course Practice Tests 1, 2, and 3

Analyze Answers and Weaknesses in The Official SAT Online Course Practice Tests 1, 2, and 3

Finish Last 4 Lessons in Barron's NEW SAT Math Workbook

Finish Last 3 Lessons in Barron's New SAT Verbal Workbook

Finish Barron's NEW SAT Math Workbook Practice Tests 1 and 2

Finish Barron's NEW SAT Verbal Workbook Practice Tests 1, 2, and 3

Finish NO FEAR VOCABULARY Chapters 9-20

WEEK 3:

Finish The Official SAT Study Guide Practice Tests 5, 6, 7, and 8

Analyze Answers and Weaknesses in The Official SAT Study Guide Practice Tests 5, 6, 7, and 8

Review Vocabulary

Overall, it shouldn't be more than 2 hours or so a day, and it should improve my score a great deal. Of course I'm emphasizing my weakest areas (mathematics and critical reading) as I already have my 770 in Writing.
