When you apply to a boarding school, you can apply for financial aid. Judging by your grammar, your DC will be an international student. The FA budget for International students is close to non-existent in most prep schools.

Most people get FA from the high schools. There are not many scholarships for high school.

7th graders can apply for this [Programs - Caroline D. Bradley Scholarship](Caroline D. Bradley Scholarship). Must be US Citizen residing in the US. Very competitive. No financial need necessary.

[Jack Kent Cooke Foundation - Young Scholars Program](Young Scholars Program - Jack Kent Cooke Foundation) Also apply in 7th grade, low income families in US. You must reside in the United States or a US territory and attend high school in the United States.
