any scholarships for transfer students?

HI,

I am switching from a 4-year state school to a 4-year private school and got not aid from the school. I am hoping to find some small scholarships to apply for in the hopes that I can find about 10k worth of scholarships. If anybody has transferred and knows of some good ones to apply for, it would be much appreciated. My town does one that is guaranteed and is between 1k-3k/year. I got 1k both past years so I am looking to find about 9k more in other small scholarships.

Most of the ones I have come across are from students going to a 4-year school from a community college. these do NOT apply to me.

There is not a lot available in scholarships for existing college students, except for maybe departmental scholarships.

Local scholarships usually target high school graduates.

There are some schools that give transfer scholarships, usually smaller amounts $1,000 -3.000.

But you will have to find schools that do and apply to those.

Temple gives some transfer scholarships.

Do an internet search for “transfer scholarships” and you should be able to find more. Check GPA and other requirements.

Phi Theta Kappa has scholarships if you are a member.
