<p>I'm aware for Northwestern, recommendations are optional, but SAT scores are mandatory(which I never retook)</p>

<p>I thought USC recommends to have letters of recommendation? Also they do look at you High School transcript and SAT scores (depending on 30 units transferrable) but they still require to have them.</p>
<p>If you have over 30 units then you are not required to submit SAT scores.</p>
