It will all depend on your sat. your grades and ecs are good.
Your choice of schools are kind of unusual. Top schools plus two outliers, #6&8. Why not look at schools better than those two outliers?
Good Luck with your SAT.

Hey, tell me … Do u want to pursue CS in college ? If so , these are really great schools to apply to …

Dont ask anyone about your chances, friend… Only u can figure that one out. and if u remain true to urself , u will end up getting into ur dream college :)

nope…nt 9-5…according to mine time…what ever time i like i can do work in it…but just have to finish the work and job’s not easy…
I haven’t uploaded my research on net…only people who invest more than $100,000 can get my research …
i think its not solid…still lacking many things…

@SuperScientist01- Just to clarify, what exactly do you mean by “I haven’t uploaded my research on net.” I can assure you that nothing is considered a research paper unless it has passed through rigorous peer-review and has been published in a scientific journal. A win or participation at some of the top international science fairs such as ISEF, GSF, etc might serve as a substitute. Demonstration of evidence that your research is actually yours and is really in demand as you claim might also serve as a substitute.

On a lighter note, why would someone invest $100,000 without even actually knowing what it is?

@nikhilravi…though i haven’t won a international comp. but have won nationals and my research is validated by scientists …i even have small plant running on it…

and for the record…i have got offers worth $2 million dollars for my project…
if you want proof contact me directly…

then what should i do…i tried my best but couldn’t…what won 2 nationals and many times national level finalist…with same project…also can get recommendations from MNC’s for it…which are big names in India in this sector…

Coming back to the chancing you, if you are really smart enough to get NGOs working with you, getting friggin’ 3 research papers through, work at a MNC, why can’t you get the fact that no one other than the adcoms can really say if you can get into the ivies.
As for UIUC, you do look like a match according to me. That’s a pretty strong profile you have got there, so with good luck and good SATs you should make it through.
If you are looking for an Engg degree, look into Purdue and GTech. Or just ask anialways or texaspg for help. They are pretty awesome.

Oh and a word of advice, do not fret. Don’t stay too long on CC. Trust me on this one.

sorry for that but what can I say if people don’t believe me that’s not my problem as far as I have proof
what are adcoms? and nialways or texaspg?

Unless you have substantial proof to back it up, DO NOT make claims of being offered 2 Million dollars in your application, essays and interviews. If those offers were made informally, do not mention them in your applications. You will end up not getting accepted even at your safeties.

One friend of mine could have easily gotten into a top 50 college if not for his claims of being offered 3 million dollars by Microsoft for an app he created. The adcoms can look straight through this.

You can easily get into a top 50 college without any issues with a SAT score of above 2000, decent GPA and extracurriculars which you have.

The take-home message: Avoid hyperbole, portray yourself as who you are, not as who you’d like to be.

I hope you get into your dream school. Best of luck!
