I am struggling in my classes and I am constantly losing concentration and being distracted. I also have no motivation to do things on my own if I am not told or encouraged to do things. I need help! Any suggestions that will help my study habits and help me get good grades?

that happens to me, too. you have lots of hw from school, correct? and you probably have an agenda provided by the school. after each assignment, put a little box. then when you are done with each assignment, color it in. i know it sounds too simple, but it helped me get my work done (and eager to get my work done, too)

hope that helped.

your motivation should be your grades. With good grades your future options are open, with bad grades your future is limited.
People are different, so ways to study vary between people. When I read a text book, I like to take notes of important concepts on a sheet of paper. By writting stuff down, it helps me to remember it, plus I have a condensed sheet to study from before tests. It also keeps me from reading the same sentance over & over. Others like to highlight in the textbook & write in the margins (if you own the book).. I don't like that because you still have to flip a bunch of pages to find what you were looking for. I also study best on my bed, floor or sofa... not desks, because I like to spread stuff out all around me. Figure out what environment is best for you and how you remember stuff the best, then you can develop methods that play to those strengths.

do the easy stuff first so it looks like you have less when those little nonsense things like worksheets or outlines are finished. then tackle papers, posters, etc
