any suggestions for a good SAFETY school for me?

I'm looking for private schools in the east coast..

my stats:
WEIGHTED GPA 3.8
UNWEIGHTED GPA 3.4~3.5
SAT I: 2280 superscored
SAT II: 790, 700, 780
AP's: all 4's and 5's
EC's: decent
and have about 8 awards, regional to national.

I'm undecided about my major,

My GPA is low because I've taken the hardest courses available, so I've also received a lot of B's.

Can anyone suggest a good safety school for me?
I want it to be a private school in the east coast.

What reaches and matches are you looking at? What kind of school do you want?

umm i already mentioned that…i want east coast private universities… i dont know what i want to major in yet so i dont want to narrow it down too much… im still exploring many options

You realize that there are hundreds of ‘east coast private universities’ right? You’re going to need to be more specific.

Urban or rural, big or small, frats or no, any portion of the east coast that you prefer, big time sports or not…these are a few things you could mention to help us help you.

Union College (NY), Clark University (MA), Boston University, Connecticut College, Villanova, Fordham, Allegheney, Muhlenburg.

If you’re a girl, Mount Holyoke, Bryn Mawr, Simmons, and other schools…

I second Muhlenberg, although it may not necessarily be a safety for you, depending on how competitive your school is. Is there a specific reason why it has to be a private school, because a lot of public schools would be good safeties, and still provide a good education. Are you looking at any specific schools, whether or not they’re safeties, just for a guide of what you’re looking for? More info would definitely help.

well i want to be somewhere with a lot of students… so medium to large schools size wise… dont really care about greek life. i want competitive academics… im looking for private schools because i want small class sizes. and as someone mentioned above how would boston university be a safety for me? i thought BU was pretty selective.

I’d be really surprised if you didn’t get into Boston University. It’s Boston College that’s quite difficult to get into.

Fairfield University is great. If I didn’t live near it I’d apply, and it would be a safety for you.

Bump…

What is your home state or are you international?

connecticut college?

Erin’s Dad: I’m from Northern California.
