Any suggestions for classes to take for an incoming freshman in Summer B?

The topic title pretty much says it all. My goal is to get rid of GE requirements right off the bat but I'm not sure if that's possible in 1 summer term. I'd like to have an edge and pick the best classes/profs as early as possible. My major is Computer Science but I'm not sure if that matters as far as GE credits go.

Here’s the list of courses available for Summer B:
[CLAS Courses Offered Summer B - UF College of Liberal Arts and Sciences](http://www.clas.ufl.edu/students/summer/summer-b.html)

It would be a good idea to get started on your General Education courses, which is what your advisor will tell you to do.
It really doesn’t matter what your major is at this point b/c general ed. courses are your basic 1000/2000-level courses.

I think minimum credits for summer term is 9 and max is 15.
Don’t overdo it on your first term as it will be your first semester. Good luck.

Okay, so pretty much I should take any 3 of those classes? Thanks for the advice.

I suggest a math course, a foreign language & a history or science course.
But of course it’s up to you.

At the end of the summer semester we will take exams on those classes, right?

Yeah summer term is like the other regular terms. Only difference is that they go through the material quicker and usually professors aren’t so hard on the students, but yeah you’ll have exams.

3 classes sound about right. Take a math class ( precalc, trig, algebra etc) unless you plan to go directly into calc 2 in the fall. Then take two humanities/ social sciences. Honestly, just pick these based on what sounds intresting to you not on what other people say is an easy A.

I agree about those easy A classes, b/c those classes are almost always soooo boring and the professor just doesn’t care. Pick a class you’ll enjoy and check out myedu.com and rmp.com. Don’t go entirely by the ratings as some kids get butthurt b/c a professor actually assigns homework or expects you to read and participate.

Which classes would you suggest to take for a science (Bio) major?

Don’t you guys have orientation? You can talk to your advisors as they’ll know what to suggest what you all need to do?
