i'm currently at a pretty well known university in washington d.c., and i really dislike it. i'm going to put it out there right away that my big gripe with my current school is the very east coast preppy atmosphere. i also feel like the people here aren't as study oriented as i thought they would be. i don't have a major picked out yet but i'm thinking of double majoring in poli sci, and most likely some other humanities type major. any thought on schools i should consider, based on the things i don't like about my current one/the interests that i have?

alright so i have thought about some schools and based on what i've said i don't like about my current school, i would like to know if any of these schools may be a good fit for me. i'm looking for a very study oriented school where partying isn't a huge deal.
my list of schools i would like to get some opinions on:
Penn
Yale
UChicago
Northwestern
UMichigan
WashU
Stanford
Duke
Emory
Vanderbilt
Cornell
Columbia
if any one wants to suggest another school, feel free to do so.

Also look into University of Rochester.
