I took TCF 112 (Motion Picture History and Criticism) and enjoyed it, but it did involve more reading than I expected and the tests are actually quite difficult despite being multiple choice. Still, it is a sort of right of passage to take a film class in college. If Honors Arts in Tuscaloosa is available, that might be good also.

I would recommend honors quest more if you are really concerned with your daughter’s ability to successfully transition to college. While I’ve always liked to be a student leader for these orientation-type things, I learn better when I am just handed the paper and told what I should read (it’s probably why I like online classes so much). If your daughter would prefer the extra human element provided by honors quest, then by all means go for it. If not, I would highly recommend the Common Book Experience classes instead.

I’m of the belief that a fine arts credit should be easy. So look at MUS-121 (music listening) with Woosley or ARH-252 (art history)with Jenny Blount.

Honors Quest can be fun, but since your D will be pledging, she may not really have time for it.

I have similiar schedule and took French for something lighter I took the 101 class even though I have studied French before just to lighten my load a bit
