Any suggestions?

Hey everyone! I applied EDI to CMC in October and got rejected in December :( However, my guidance counselor just told me that there was a mistake on my transcript. I took an independent study course in my junior year and received a pass (my grade was 93). But my school has been sending transcriptions to all the colleges that I had applied to with a fail in that course. Should I appeal the decision? CMC is my first choice. I was devastated when I got rejected. Do you think it is possible for the admission office to reconsider? I mean since it is a very competitive school, they most easily reject the ones with fail in any class. Please let me know what your thoughts are on this situation. Thanks!

It wouldn’t hurt to appeal. What are your stats?

GPA: 3.6 unweighted (I know it’s pretty low and my school does not calculate the weighted GPA)
ACT: 33
I didn’t take the SAT.
I have plenty extracurricular activities with leadership. My letter of recommendations are pretty solid. I am an international student. Both teachers know me very well. I am afraid to call them and get rejected again.

They most likely would’ve wait listed you if it was close. You might as well appeal though because it sounds like you will regret it if you don’t. If you get rejected though there are plenty of other great colleges out there.
