Any summer A transfer admits

When did you apply and when did you find out? What's your major and stats?

I just got accepted today and applied during Christmas break with my transcripts being received on 1/4 and 1/6. I’m from Colorado.

Major: Political Science, applied to CLAS
College gpa: 3.7
Prerequisites gpa: 4.0
Didn’t send test scores

The only condition is that I complete my current polisci course with a ‘B’ or better.

What time of day did you get your acceptance?

I don’t really remember when I checked it, but I think it was around 3pm Florida time.

how many pre-reqs did you have when you applied?

“how many pre-reqs did you have when you applied?”

I completed statistics, int’l relations, and American gov. I don’t know whether they’re counting my current intro to political science as a pre-req or not (something I’ll have to ask about). But according to UF’s catalog, they want at least 15 out of 30 credits to be completed at UF.

Here’s the guide for the political science major if anyone’s interested:

I talked to a lady in CLAS today and she ssaid summer a decisions should be out within the next week or so!!

I applied to CLAS for Summer B. I found out I got accepted on Feb.10. I would have thought all Summer A transfers would have heard by now…o.o

Exactly, my thoughts as well. I applied the day before the deadline, but still I thought maybe they’d get back to me pretty fast since sunmer a starts early May.

I applied the day before the deadline too. It was sent to my college about a week later for a “final decision,” but now it has been over three weeks! Summer B applications are due tomorrow, I thought we’d have our decisions for Summer A before then!
I called the advisor for my college, she said since my college has my application it wouldn’t be more than two weeks before I was accepted or denied. But that doesn’t make sense though-they’ve already had it for 3 weeks and still haven’t done anything with it! I feel like the longer they wait on my app. the less chance I have to be accepted! :(

I applied to CALS in December and still have no decision. From what I understand CALS is just notoriously slow which is incredibly frustrating. Thankfully I already have housing with family in the event I get in with such short notice. I’m worried though, because I’m on the lower end with my stats. My GPA is only a 3.0 as calculated by UF (no grade forgiveness) but I have a tremendous upward trend of holding a 4.0 for the past 4 semesters, taking a very heavy course load and my essay did a good job at explaining the very valid reason for my poor performance early in my college career.

I’ll be sure to update when I hear a decision!

My status finally changed last night:
ACCEPTED!!!
I feel like it took forever, but I applied for CLAS, so that’s just par for the course. Goodluck to everyone, I hope more answers come out soon!

Congrats ladygator!
Hopefully i will get accepted too soon but i applied for the fall 2012…lol

Just found out I was accepted to CALS. Good luck everyone :)

I applied for CLAS during the second week of Feb. It then took about one week to get deferred to my department for a final decision. I received my acceptaince last night, which is about three weeks from the day I submitted my application.
I applied for the Summer B 2012 term.

Admissions is weird like that. Some fall applicants receive their decisions before some summer applicants. Some people receive an answer within a few days, others a few months. It’s erratic.

I know the wait sucks, but hopefully it will be good news you receive, and the joy you get when you see that acceptance message, makes it all worth it.

Good luck guys! :D
