Any summer programs in math/science left that I can apply to?

I applied to NIH, RSI, and VA gov school for math, science, and technology. I havent heard anything from NIH yet so im guessing i didnt get in. RSI...no chance...Gov schools my last one but im kind of nervous cuz i didnt get in last year. Are there any programs (around $2000 or under) or internships out there that I can still apply to?

if you're a girl, there's http://www.engr.umd.edu/wie/prestudents/e2umd.html

its really just one week full of learning about engineering, but it's cheap, fun, and a last resort if all else fails.

not a girl X-(...thx anyway though

Mathcamp (with financial aid) and PROMYS (also with financial aid). I think their deadlines are in May.

ok i think i found one.... but it looks like the odds are kinda bad...Theres a research program at Brookhaven National Laboratory, the deadlines April 16 for the application. Problem is this line that says "Preference will be given to Suffolk County students." Since I live in VA, not NY, i guess that would rule me out. Should I still bother applying?

buummppppppppp

Although I think that "preference" will not "rule you out," I wouldn't apply because of transportation, housing, and food issues. If you do have that covered, then I guess it is something worth applying.

I agree with kchen. If it's something you really think you'd enjoy and learn from, then by all means apply. Unless if the application fee is like $500 there's not much to lose.

It looks like there is no application fee. The deadline is April 14, by the way.

There's one at the University of Michigan...Michigan Math and Science Scholars or something. I got a card about it from them, but I didn't read it because I hate science.
