any swedes here?

any swedes here applying to US college for fall 2007? if so, where have you applied and why?

Perhaps you'd be luckier if you expand your search to all Western Europe or something; most people here seem to come from Asia and Eastern Europe.

well, as far as western europe is concerned:
germany here. i know of two swedes on this board (balth & cameliasinensis).

nice! now you know one more :P

I'm from Sweden as well.

Jag är också svensk, studerar på Penn.

härligt att se att det finns några svenskar här iaf :P för er som redan studerar i usa, e de stor skillnad mot sverige? e de svårt osv?

Greetings Swedes!!!!Just dont mind me....but.....plz use english......many hav got warnings for not using it....(sorry to interrupt....;)..)...

Compared to Swedish universities, it depends on what school you are at. It is impossible to generalize a comparison.

Feel free to add me to MSN, it would be interesting to talk to fellow countrymen who are currently studying in USA or are interested in studying in the USA - msn: fs@telia.com

I'm a Swedish emigrée, I guess; I moved to the US from Stockholm in 2001 because of my parents' work and attend high school here. I'm applying RD to Amherst, Bryn Mawr, University of Chicago, Dartmouth, Macalester, Middlebury, Princeton, Swarthmore, Wellesley, and Williams.

I’m Swedish, applying because I really don't want to attend any of the Swedish universities. Handelshögskolan i Stockholm is my plan B, Lund or Uppsala plan C. But since I will graduate with ~19/20 (Handels lottar), I really don't have the motivation to go to Komvux to improve my VGs to MVGs for a year or two + having a American friend who is constantly pushing me to go to America, telling me all about the college experience, it all just turned out like this. And God its stressful, but I think its worth it (if I get accepted..)

Well then, you just have to ace the Swedish hogskole-test.
