<p>It turns out they completely botched my last name at the top of my "Where Am I In The Process?" and I had been logging in like twice a day for 3-4 weeks and I never noticed.... even though I could log in with my last name correctly spelled. </p>
<p>And so I called and the woman changed it and I said thanks and then she said "you're welcome, honey" and then I was like 'thanks or whatever' and then she ends it with "goodluck, honey"</p>
<p>I don't have a blankline so I was thinking she knew something I didn't...however, if I don't have a blank line yet doesn't that allegedly mean they have yet to make a decision??</p>
<p>I think you're looking too much into it. I was talking to my admissions interviewer a couple of days ago, and there was a lot of "good luck" blah blah blah stuff.</p>
<p>I have a blank line as of 2/13/09. I'm not really sure if it's a reach...I would say yes when looking at my math grades, (92 in honors geometry and an 87 in both honors algebra 2 and precalc). But I would say no with regards to my SATs (2240 - 750 CR/730 M/760 W) and ACTs (35 Verbal/33Math/33Reading/30 Science).</p>

<p>I am not sure I totally understand. When you say CMU is not a reach because of your SATs, is it because they are very good and that it is more than a reach? 87 in Algebra and PreCalc is A- or B?</p>
<p>SAT: 2140 (600 R, 750 M, 790 WR) -- 800 CHM, 730 Math II</p>
<p>GPA: 89.14 at a competitive school, I'm guessing that's around a 3.5-3.6 GPA..</p>
<p>I'm not exactly sure how I'd fare at CMU Tepper, but I think I have a fair chance at least. BTW, I have a blank line as of 2-27-09</p>

<p>When considering my math grades, I would say CMU is a reach - at my school an 87 is a B. When considering my standardized test scores, I would say it's not a reach, because I'm in the middle 50% in math and way above the middle 50% in critical reading and writing.</p>
<p>Thanks for clearing that up. I have the same SAT M and W scores as you but my CR is much lower. Anyway, I was applying for CIT not Tepper. Just posted in here, probably because of anxiety........</p>
