Hi! I am to take the ACT in April and and so far I got around 29-32 in the practice tests (I have the Real ACT and the McGraw Hill books). Do you have any tips for improving my score? Thank you :) !

You probably aren’t going to get a perfect score unless you were averaging 35s and 36s prior.

For the ACT, you should try and pay attention in school as much as possible.
The ACT tests more on what you have learned in High school.
My advice is to keep doing practice tests and take challenging classes, especially in math and Science. and earn good grades in them as well.

Just don’t get anything wrong.

My son got a perfect 36.0 ACT last June, as a sophomore. He took 8 AP exams the month before and aced most of them (six 5’s). The ACT was a trivial test after 3 weeks of taking AP exams. The best solution is to WAY over prepare: learn/practice on old AP tests and graduate level tests - GMAT, GRE, LSAT, whatever. Of course you won’t do great on those tests, but you should do better on your real test once you “step down” to the much easier ACT.
