hello, let me start off by saying that i am currently a high school freshmen. Around last year i had began to search for colleges and universities. Harvard seem to have caught my eye and i began to do some research on it. I realized that Harvard had a really low acceptance rate and I became a bit discouraged. I still am really devoted to going to that school and willing to put 110% of my time, effort and dedication to my academics, but will that be enough? I was reading an article about how people who play sports, instruments and take several AP class have a higher chance of acceptance. I currently don’t play many sports and due to my weight i don’t make the cut for any sports team. i Currently am working out 5 times a week so that next time they have tryouts i can make the cut. Next semester I’m going to apply for AP classes and sign up for band, but is there anything else i should do to better my chances of getting in? My grades are pretty good i have a 3.76 for the first quarter and i know thats low but there are 4 quarters in the year so i have some time to bring up my grades to have a better GPA. Any tips or advice would be helpful, thank you in advance.
High GPA. Killer test scores. Be interesting. Be real.
