My daughter will be attending Mizzou in the Fall and I was hoping Parents and Students could make a list of things you wish you would have known during the first year, ie…bring a mallet to configure the bed or which bank is most convenient on campus. Any tips would be appreciated!
@3anddone My oldest is a junior at Mizzou and has lived in the dorm all 3 years. Remember to bring heavy duty surge protector/extension cord for frig and microwave. Not enough storage, so suggest bringing one of the plastic drawers to store clothes. You can get at Walmart or Target. Only take a bicycle if your kiddo regularly rides a bike for fun. Otherwise it is a pain in the neck to transport up and back and just sits at the dorm.
Boone County National Bank and Tigers Credit Union have an ATM in the Memorial Union. Bank of America, Boone County National Bank, Tigers Credit Union, and UMB Bank all have ATMs Student Center (old Brady Commons). I believe that US Bank has a branch in the Student Center. Commerce Bank has an ATM between the Fine Arts building and the Student Success Center.
Do the rooms come with the refrigerator and micro?
No they do not.
