I am doing PR + Barrons and I have taken an honors Bio course.

PR is very good, and barrons will fill in the holes that pr leaves, although its not many and barrons definitely overprepares you.

Study a lot and you should do great.

PR gives a lot of important and precise information but they leave some stuff out that you might need for the test but luckily Barron’s has that!!! (Ear,eye, diagrams i.e.: cross section of a stem)

And do not worry. I thought I was going to get High 600s to low 700s, turned out I got 790. The harder the test, the better the curve.

I couldn’t have said it any better myself. I was getting high 600s on the practice tests from Barrons, but I ended up getting a 780 :)

Barrons is good review, i got 750 on the barrons practice and got 800 on the real test.

just read throught the whole book and you’ll be fine.

I just used the SAT Barrons book, but then again i had just studied for the AP exam using only barrons about a month ago, so I quickly glanced over the AP review book. The book said I’d get a 770, but i got a 800
=)

Good luck!

Thanks for your insights guys!

Oh guys, I am using Barrons SAT Bio book, not the AP. I hope that was clear. Were you guys refering to AP? Should I switch?

I used the SAT II Barrons book

Should I stick with PR AP bio yes?

^That should suffice. Just know and study the material. No need to worry so much about having the right prep book, though some are better than others

I recommend Barron’s. Yeah, it contains more information than you need, but no one wants to show up to the testing center and realize that he or she is under-prepared.

I read the entire PR the day before and got an 800. I also read Kaplan’s before that, but a lot of the information is superfluous and you’re likely to get bogged down. PR gets straight to the point and gives you probably 98% of the information you’ll need in most situations.
