I'm not doing any summer programs (too expensive, and I got rejected to the one I applied for a scholarship for), and my family's not going on any vacations, so my summer is free. I may be taking a college course in August, and I will continue to volunteer at the nursing home I'm currently involved in, but do you guys have any other tips that may lead to a productive and fun-filled summer (that doesn't involve loss of brain cells)? I was thinking of volunteering for various theatre festivals that pop up during the summer because I really enjoy that stuff, yet I'm not qualified to be a props person or an actor. What are you guys doing?

Volunteer, get an internship, work
