I'm a second semester senior with a D in AP Calc AB. First semester, I asked my counselor twice throughout the semester to let me drop the class. She said no, it was "too late". I was also still passing, and I barely passed that semester with a C.

Now, I officially have a 67% in the class. He just created a new policy for AP Calc yesterday that now we will have a final AFTER the AP exam that is worth 15% of our grade. His finals, whether pre-calc or AP calc, have been known to be tedious, difficult, etc. I need a 80% to get a C- in the class, but obviously, I won't.

Long story short: I have no chance of passing. I must receive a B- on the final to pass the class, and obviously I couldn't do that for the whole year.

Is there any way to drop this class? I know it's way late, but I want to at least try asking my counselor. Are there any tips or advices on what I should do?
