Has anyone here submitted an appeal to UCSB as a transfer student? If so, have you been notified of your status? I was told notices will not be available until mid or late July for transfers.

It looks like the of ~6,000 transfer applicants that were admitted, ~1,500 enrolled. How many spaces are available for students appealing? Has anyone here had success appealing UCSB decisions as a transfer student last year?

I appealed, but I don’t have a decision yet. They called last week and asked for my spring grades. They said I’d have a decision in a few days, which should be sometime this week.
I heard they were on a rolling basis, but idk. Their transfer appeal deadline is June 15th, so maybe those who turn in their appeals sometime this week will be notified in July.

when did you send in your appeal? do you mind listing your stats - GPA only - here or PM? i’m just curious what the appeal pool is like. I understand UCSB has a high rate of accepting appeals compared to other UCs.

I sent it on May 18th.
3.5 GPA
That’s what I’ve heard so I’m really hoping I get in on appeal to at least UCSB if not the other two I’m also waiting for. This is pretty much my last chance.

Nope. Did you check the UCSB admissions page? It should say ‘Appeal Status: Received - Decision pending’ under your Admission Status. It’s even highlighted.
When did you send yours in? I noticed that my admissions page changed about after a week I sent it.

sent mine a few weeks ago. I didn’t know appeal status was available online, I thought they would mail decisions. anyways, I just checked my portal and it says I’ve been admitted!

My GPA was higher than yours but not 4.0. Good luck bro on your appeal!

did you call the admissions office? i don’t know how my appeal was approved so quickly. from what i gather students who are appealing with new information - like spring grades - are more likely to get accepted than students who don’t have new academic information. SB isn’t really holistic in approaching applicants.
