my ais went to step 5 today. Good Luck to everyone else still waiting!

southpaw did you get accepted?

So, today my AIS finally changed from Step 4(which it was stuck on since march) to Step 3. It’s rather frustrating that it took about a month after receiving my spring transcript for them to reset my status to “reviewing application”, but the only thing I can do now is wait.

Question: Does it no longer give the decision online when it hits step 4 now?? I’ve noticed people saying that their AIS advanced past step 3, but it doesn’t provide a link or something for you to see the decision??

GIGEM, yes I was accepted. It took it a few days to go from step four to step five. I hope yall find out soon!

Adam - I feel ya with how it reverts back to step 3, but they must be handling quite a substantial amount of applications.

The first decision I received when I did not have a sufficient amount of credits was listed online (right under Step 4), the FINAL decision which they are considering for us now may not be posted online. That is my guess anyways, but I will not know for certain until I get to see how my AIS steps play out!

Grats Southpaw! Hopefully I’ll run into ya there in the Fall :P

This wait is agonizing …I mean I have been on step four since MONDAY…Apparently they have made a decision, but they just don’t want to tell me! One thing is for SURE the a&m admission system has FLAWS and they need to be fixed sooner than later. They made me wait til LATE MAY last year to tell me I was accepted to Blinn Team (which I just finished my freshman year of) but even before that I waited til mid April to tell me I was waitlisted! I am so excited to be DONE with the whole admissions system forever…hopefully!

You haven’t received a letter at all? Or been told something has been mailed out?

My AIS page says a letter was mailed on 6/8/2010 with a decision. I kept checking online but there was no update. Today I checked the mail and I got my letter-- I got in! Good luck to everyone waiting!!

Awesome! Grats!!!

I’m just still waiting to move to Step 4 :(

Awesome! Congratulations gigem and southpaw! :)

And now bhthx1 and I must endure a bit more of this cruel waiting game! Considering it took them longer to process my transcript, I would guess that you will probably receive a decision before me, but obviously there’s no guarantee on that. Either way, definitely let us know when you get an update!! I’ll make sure to do the same.

Until then I should probably disconnect my computer because I’m being quite OCD about checking AIS, hahaha.

I’ve checked my AIS so many times it isn’t even funny, LOL (Check it atleast 4 times a day during the week).

Sad thing is, it is late Friday and now we have to wait the whole weekend for them to start working away again! Unless they actually review applications into the weekend which I doubt.

Oh well. Just ready to know!

Im still waiting to hear back from TAMU too, its been 2 weeks. I sent an e-mail through OAR and they said that they will be going over apps for the next 2 months but I was in the first grouping of students to be reviewed, I wish I would get my decision already this is torture.

I randomly found this thread and thought I’d post. I’m applying as a transfer to Liberal Arts (Communication) with a 3.24 and 34 hours. My AIS changed to Step 4 on Friday but it says the decision was mailed 2/15/10 (which was when they told me I needed to turn in spring grades due to lack of hours). I talked to Admissions and they said it should update within 48 hours, I guess weekends don’t count. On Friday when I moved to Step 4 I also noticed on my Howdy a new MyRecord tab that allows me to view classes, register for parking passes and get sports passes… does this mean I’m in?

I bet you’re set! I mean if you weren’t going to get in why would they let you sign up for that stuff, haha.

I hope you’re right! I’m thinking I should hear sometime this week… I don’t know how much longer I can wait

Check your mailbox, cbh713. My daughter’s AIS is STILL on Step 4, but after we started noticing some changes on her Howdy page last week as you did, she received her acceptance in the mail, about 2 days later. She had even sent a message to them, asking about the February date it listed, so they messaged back that a decision had in fact been made, and then the decision date changed to read 6/8. Still no change to Step 5, but the all important letter did arrive, on 6/11. Hallelujah, an answer to prayer! For a “top tier” university, TAMU’s admission system is definitely flawed. But, as a graduate of many years ago, I can tell you that if you get in, it’s well worth the torture and agony of the wait! Good luck to everyone waiting!

My AIS just hit step 4 this morning! Of course, it says the decision was mailed on 3/22, but i’m guessing that is just a bug at this point. No change in the howdy portal for me that I can see, but i’m keeping my fingers crossed while at the same time trying to keep my heart rate down! hahaha.

Talked to admissions this morning- they made my decision the 10th but claim now that AIS will update tomorrow night and my letter will be sent tomorrow? I keep getting different answers every time I call so I’m hoping my Howdy changes are an indication I got in.

my daughters boyfriend got his transfer acceptance yesterday.

I GOT IN!! I am so excited, I checked my AIS this morning and it changed to Step 5 and said the decision was mailed yesterday… whoop!!
