Step 5 showed up this morning

ACCEPTED!! yaaayyy! :)))))!!!

congratulations to all transfer students!!!
Is there a transfer student confrence?

gosh, alot of people found out their admission decision in the last few days… and im still on Step 3, this isnt cool…

Right here with ya, haha. And these folks talk about the wait being torture… LOL

sigh :(

its causing emotional distress… its gotten so bad im having dreams about going on AIS and seeing that my admission decision is ready, then i wake up and check it to find no luck lol

What classification are you? sophomore? junior?

LOL. I had a dream that I got accepted moved to step 4 and then 5 but when I went to check that morning I realized it was… infact… a dream.

I’ll be a sophmore, did my first year at CC. You?

lol, I hope they don’t have us waiting to long… I know its going to be hard trying to find housing soon.

I’ll be a sophomore as well. I did my first year at a campus with basically no school spirit… it was horrible, but I found my passion… I believe… and now i’m trying to get into Mays.

@klparker312 - Yes there is a transfer camp, it’s called T Camp. Not sure of the deadline for registering. I believe there are two sessions, both in August.

is transfer camp mandatory?

No idea klparker but I am pretty sure you would want to attend :P

nbeezy the business major is the only thing that has ever interested me. I am specifically looking at management, with a minor in marketing. You just have to be top-notch for it though! We’ve got a few years of hard work ahead of us haha.

for yall trying to get into mays, what were your stats? Also, how many of the prereqs did you take? Thanks

@azim13 Well, for me i wont be able to get into mays until junior year or in the summer… i still have to take econ and acct. so im trying to get in under general right now

but u need
both econs, acct, information sys, business coms, mana, … i may be missing a couple from this list… and to transfer right in from a different school you need a 3.7 and A’s & B’s in all your business courses. I highly doubt they will let anyone in who hasn’t completed all of those courses and met the grade requirement… also, i think if you are already a student at aTm then the GPA can be slightly lower

@bhthx1- thats good. I wanted to go into vet. medicine for the longest… but I had a change of heart once I finally made it to college and got to experience a bit of the business world. Now I’m trying to get into Accounting. I want to do the Professional Program I believe its called, for accounting so I can get an MBA in 5 yrs. Ill probably get my masters in management or finance.

Azim13, I am hoping for general studies right now because I do not have enough table 1 credits to directly transfer into Mays’. I have only completed my econs, engl, and spch.

I have a 4.0 on the 37 hours but 4 of those hours may not transfer. The science class I took does not count towards the TAMU core cirriculum.

If business doesn’t come through economics is definitely my next choice. I have been broken between the two anyways.

@bhthx1 -What science class did you take? I took bio, but it didnt have the same common number… but its the same intro to bio courses. i’m going to be SO mad if I have to take science over again.

4.0 is fantastic! I have a 3.5 on like 29 hours… but all A’s in my business related courses… and people with econ degree’s end up having really good futures! any updates on your AIS?

I’m pretty you might have to take another science
I am pretty sure A&M expects everyone to do the for science majors courses.

I took a geology class - Earth Science 1. Awesome class, I learned so much but if they don’t take the credit they don’t know what I went through to make an A in there, haha.

No updates on the AIS… Same for you I bet, hah.

Thanks and good luck to both of you.

But it says natural science elective… and the actual name for the class at TAMU was intro to biology… and the name of my class was the same thing… its just they didnt share a common number. Maybe they will accept the course based on name, I know they look at the courses 3-ways when transferring classes. I will be in that admission office everyday until they accept those 8 hours of bio I had to do!

But no… sadly still no updates…

@klparker312 - No, T Camp is not mandatory. It sounds very similar Fish Camp, i.e. make connections, learn the traditions and about what the school has to offer, welcome to the Aggie family.

momto2ags, i was talking about Trannsfer new student confrence. I know T Camp is not mandatory.

has anyone heard anything for tamu recently?? only 2 more weeks left in this month…
