Hi guys,

I'm going to be transferring from one university to another as a sophomore this upcoming fall. I will definitely have enough credits to graduate and definitely want to study abroad.

My only reservations would be that I will only be on campus for 2 and 1/2 years at my new school.

Is this a problem? Did anyone transfer after their freshman year and then study abroad (say junior yr for a semester)?

thanks

I guess it’s a little different for me, but I’m transfering in to NYU as a sophomore for the fall, and because they ran out of housing, I’m sort of being forced to study abroad. I don’t think it’s going to be a big deal for you. Study abroad is becoming very popular nowadays and your new friends at your university will probably want to do it. As long as you have the money, go for it.

dude 2 and a half years are enough for getting to know the campus and its surroundings. studying abroad will even give you someothing to talk about when you get back and meet people! also, make sure you get an internship in the us as soon as possible. they’ll like the fact that you studied abroad
that’s my opinion.

I did a summer semester abroad and made SO many friends to hang out with back in NYC. I did a summer instead of a whole semester so I wouldn’t have to be offtrack for graduation.
