I saw on the UCSB website that they would start giving out transfer decisions this past Monday, and continue until late April. Have any of you transfers heard back yet? I haven't, and I'm an electrical engineering major.

Yeah I was accepted, and I’m a transfer student. I even applied late after the deadline and sent in a late application request. Good luck!

btw I’m a geography major

Last time I checked was yesterday, and it said decision pending. I haven’t checked today though. Also pending for UCSD and waiting for Davis to begin posting. Accepted at UCSC though.

congrats, Aaron!

Dystopia- hopefully we hear from them sooner rather than later.

I got into Cal Poly. If I also get in to UCSB, then I’m going to have a really, really tough decision on my hands…

@Wacker1990
Im in the exact same situation, got accepted to Cal Poly and can’t get my mind off of this UCSB acceptance. I was told they send out acceptances in waves, and that most people hear back within 1-2 weeks.

@ Matttt
Yeah, I think that it would almost be better if I got rejected by UCSB, because then I wouldn’t have this painful decision to make. Here’s how I look at it:

====Cal Poly====
*Cheaper
*Slightly better reputation (for my major, at least)
*Easier to stay focused

====UCSB====
*Better campus (location, size)
*More fun
*SMOKING HOT women (and women outnumber men, unlike at Cal Poly)
*Still a pretty good program

I guess that UCSB is my “fun” choice and Cal Poly is my “responsible” choice. Junior college was a responsible choice, and it has been super lame (though I’m glad I did it). Perhaps I’m ready to have a bit of fun?

Couldn’t agree with you more. Similar story with my major (accounting) It would be much more ‘responsible’ to go to cal poly in terms of job placement right out of school, but man the campus vibe is so much better at UCSB. Like you said, FINE women and everything I’ve heard about the social life has been great. I think I would enjoy my time more at UCSB, but we will see what happens.

I’m about ready to have some fun, community college seems to suck the life out of people. XD

Looks like I’m going to Cal Poly, rejected from SB :/

Oh well, Probably for the best.

Matttt, what schools can you choose from, or is it just Cal Poly
that is even better if you only have Cal Poly, you definitely will not choose the wrong school, you can always try to get in graduate school…

Cal Poly is all ive got, Im definately happy with it, I just thought I had a slightly better fit for UCSB from my visits.

Sorry to hear you didn’t get in, Matt. But Cal Poly’s an amazing school, and I’m sure you’ll have an awesome time there.
Mine still says “decision pending” but I think that everyday, my chances for good news diminish. Not a big deal. I’d love to go to Cal Poly.

so… anybody else NOT hear back from them yet?

I still haven’t heard from them. Social behavior and Psychology major
