Any Transfers Out There???

Hey Guys! I am transferring to Clemson in the fall for my Sophomore year and wanted to know if there are any more transfers out there. I am from Northern NJ and can't wait to start at Clemson in the fall. I want to know where everyone is from, where is everyone living, when are you going to a transfer orientation, etc. Who is excited to be a Clemson Tiger?????

Hey I’m transfering in the fall as well and I’m coming from the tri state area as well. I’m originally from western new york, but I live in westchester county now.I’m really surprised at how many kids from the northeast are going to clemson. I applied for housing and put down the stadium suites, and lightsey II as my top choices. Haven’t signed up for transfer orientation yet though. Where are you transfering from?

Oh and I am extremely excited to be a clemson tiger. It’s a perfect match for me from an athletics, campus, and academic stand point for me. I’m really upset I didn’t apply when I was a senior in hs.

I’m accepted and might be transfering in the fall to Clemson. It was sort of a random thing for me, so I am trying to do a lot of research and see if I really want to go or not. I am from northern MN by the way. Do you guys have any more reasons as to why I should attend??

Just curious. Where is everyone transferring from and why? S from tristate area, accepted as freshmen at Clemson, but debating b/t here and couple other choices in midwest and Va. - all simlilar in most aspects except one much larger.

Awesome!!! I have some tri state area buddies!!! I am so excited for Clemson…right now I am at a small college in rural OH and I am having a really tough time with the size. It is so small that sometimes I feel like I never left high school and the cliques here are unreal…its like the 13th grade. I am also not into the social scene…the greek scene IS the social scene and they are very exclusive as far as who is allowed to come to what party (so stupid) not to mention that SO many people are going out and getting drunk almost every night of the week…I am not against partying or having fun just not EVERY night of the week!!! I just feel like at a place like Clemson with more people in the student body there will be more people like me not to mention a TON of school pride (which is virtually nonexistence where I am now) I just get the sense at Clemson that people love being there and everyone feels like a big family rather than a place that we all happen to go to school…can’t wait to start in the fall!!!

P.S: There is a facebook group for transfers 2009-2010; so if anyone is interested in joining and meeting more transfers definitely check it out!!! : )

I’m with you. I definitely felt the family atmosphere and school pride when I’ve been to visit which is what sold me the most to go there. But clemson can be rather “fratty” even though it doesn’t make up the majority of the students. Their(greek) parties are definitely exclusive to members only after rush or whatever(from what I hear). I wasn’t planning on going greek originally when I went to school freshman year, but I think at clemson it might be something I’m gonna strongly consider.

I applied recently. How long did it take them to get back in touch with any of you?

not long at all…i applied in the beginning of february and heard by the end of the month…its rolling which makes the process SO much faster
