I'm looking to take a calculus course over summer that will transfer as credit and as an equivalent to a calculus course from UCSD and UCLA. Has anyone done this before?

anyone ?

Hey. I’ve taken Calc 1, 2, & 3 online. Since your transcript doesn’t reflect whether a class is online or not, it should transfer as long as the CC has an articulation with the UC. I took all mine at Coastline Community College and they all transfer on a 1-1 basis to UCLA but the agreement with UCSD isn’t up. Coastline is known for being primarily distance learning and sometimes I encountered certain classes that weren’t transferable overall even though they were exactly equivalent to ones at my home college (Orange Coast College). All in all, as long as assist.org says it’s transferable from your school, it shouldn’t matter whether it was online or not.

Similar to killmyentourage, I took Calc I online from Coastline over the summer before I transferred too. The class doesn’t articulate directly for UCSD, so you’ll need to submit a petition:[UCSD Mathematics : Petition Information](http://math.ucsd.edu/programs/undergraduate/advising_resources/petition_information.php)

You may want to look into the UC Berkeley Extension online courses. Calculus X1A and Calculus X1B are supposed to be transferable to any UC. In addition, Sac State, a CSU, also told us they would accept them.

thx guys… Appreciate the input!
