<p>i appealed to ucsb and i have not heard back. my status is still pending. but so far i have heard that people who have appealed have been rejected this past week. anyone have any updates or news thats going on with appeals?</p>

<p>Do you guys have a guess on how many people have had their appeals rejected? My appeal is pending as well.</p>

<p>Son appealed and was on waitlist. He got an email of his admissions status change on 5/3 - went to the portal and said he was accepted (but could not discern from the website if got in from the waitlist or appeal. Letter came yesterday with details of his admission with an extra letter that his appeal was approved. He is pre-econ, SAT- 2070, GPA UW 3.7.</p>

<p>mine is still pending!!! im very confused how this works. i know waitlists are looked at before appeals but how come there’s been people who say their appeals were denied? has my appeal not been read yet? or is this a good sign? i applied under pre-econ</p>

I’m scared that if I haven’t heard back by now… there won’t be enough space left and I’ll be rejected for sure…</p>

<p>I called the Admissions Office and they told me that all decisions would be out by May 20</p>
