Any waitlistees recieve an email back admiss?

I sent them a letter two weeks ago, and I got an email back today, just wondering if anybody else got one.

My son received the same e-mail (sent letter a couple of weeks ago reinforcing his interest)

I sent in an email and letter right after accepting the waitlist. What did yours say? Has anyone heard anything about being accepted at villanova yet? Some schools are starting to contact kids with openings.

Mine said thank you for the continued interest, we noted your app about your interest, but please submit a deposit at another school. More info after May 1st.

Other people might be getting this email too, but I really like how they go out of there way to keep in touch with interested students, unlike other schools I’m hearing about.

shellzmad, what email did you send your email to? go2vu@villanova.edu?? And no I haven’t heard about openings at Villanova yet.

I sent them a letter right after I got waitlisted. They didn’t send me anything back though.
Well now that it’s May hopefully we won’t have to wait that much longer. Whenever the phone rings I think of Villanova haha.

I sent it to the admissions office, since there seems to be no human being that wants to have any interaction with applicants–no admissions counselor gave me their name nor were there any assigned to my area of the US. My answer said thanks for the “letter” and they would place it in my file or something like that.

Yeah, May’s tomorrow lol. I’ll ask my counselor sometime next week about wait-lists and I’ll keep you guys updated. HAVE HOPE AND GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US.

I sent them an email last night asking if they got my letter and telling them about my continued interest, and surprisingly them emailed back this morning saying they put both the letter/email in my file. good luck everybody!

guys, i wouldnt expect anything until mid-may

Hey, guys! Today I told Villanova that I would not be coming. Hope one of you gets the spot! Good luck!!!

hey guys i’m so glad i found this thread!!! i have been wanting to go to villanova soooooo bad i was deferred early action and now waitlisted and its killing me!!! lol i also sent in a letter expressing my interest but did not receive an email back… i completely agree with you guys that the admissions people are hard to get in contact with! it takes a few weeks for them to reply back to even a voicemail! but anyway i’m still trying to be hopeful…i talked to a couple of people who got in off the waitlist and one told me they found out may 15th and another like june 2nd or something! so hopefully it will be soon for us  good luck to every1

I don’t know if you some of you guys are trying to hard, cause when I wanted to ask something, all I did was call up the ugad number…

i called them and the ao i talked to was really nice. she even added a note on my file that let them know i was super interested. she answered pretty much all my questions about recs, letters, etc. good luck you guys.

did you ask her anything about waitlist numbers (how many they’re thinking about accepting/how many they waitlisted)

^^ they won’t release any specific numbers / dates…i tried twice

and they told me it does not matter total numbers anymore, it is how many each specific college (business, engineering, etc) has open spots

oh alright thanks.

Lol, I won’t lie, I’m starting to get bit antsy about this. Let’s just hope they have an extra slot open in business for me!

yeah same, except A&S for me!! I think they’re going to do the majority of calls next week… so just one more week, hopefully!

I spoke to the admissions office this morning. They were very pleasant and helpful.

They confirmed that they evaluate the wait list by program/school. My son applied as a business major and they confirmed that this is the most competitive program at Villanova.

Not to dash hopes, but this person said that they were evaluating the need for the wait list and that it was not clear to what degree it would be needed (she said that the acceptances were coming in strong across the board). My sense is that if you are waiting to hear from the business program – it is a very long shot. Makes sense, as this is an excellent program – but hope I am wrong!

Best of luck to everyone. If you were talented enough to be considered on the waitlist at Villanova, you’ll do great wherever you go.

what are everyones stats?
