So I'm applying to UCs primarily and my SAT scores were really bad 1540 in may,1690 in June and I don't think I did any better in October. My counselor told me to send the scores early for October and I listened to her. However, now that I think about it, I just took the ACT today and think I got a 30+. I am thinking whether it would be better to just send the ACT score and not the SATs. Is there a way to cancel the order for score sending because the October scores will be sent in 2 days when they are released. Also, my counselor said that it is okay because they will look at the higher score (ACT) and ignore my bad SAT scores, is this true?

You had until the second Monday after you took the SAT test to add or remove colleges in your SAT test application identified to receive scores upon release. Once that date passed the list is locked in and you cannot do anything to prevent scores from being sent to colleges you listed. Also, your counselor is correct. If you send both SAT and ACT, the UCs use the one believed to be higher to determine admission.
