This is on The Unified FB page re; Purchase
An exact quote from a current senior in the program - “They do it all randomly. Some calls are made very early on, some letters are sent out early, and some calls are made very late and some letters sent out late! They accept twelve people right away and chose ten alternates and create a company based on which people accept.”
Also one student received an email yesterday that she was on waitlist.
So, seems like stuff still going on with Purchase…

We live 2 miles down the road. No excuse for the delay here…

Goodness I wish they would hurry up and get it over with! One way or another. We will deal with it but not knowing is awful. Maybe today?

I was thinking of emailing Garrett Marino, the admissions guy who commented on one of the Purchase threads…

Yes I seem to remember that but I see so many threads I can’t remember which ones I saw what on! LOL. If you do, and find out anything…please share!

I emailed him. No response. So I called admissions. They wouldn’t say anything other than the decisions have been made and will be in the mail…

Hmmm Thanks for checking!!

Still nothing today from either BFA or for college acceptance to a BA!

Nothing here either…

My D just called him and confirmed it’s a rejection. He told her that her letter would be going out soon.

Boo…so sorry!!! I am thinking if we haven’t heard by now it is a rejection for all?

I think it is safe to assume it’s a rejection, if you didn’t get the waitlist email.

:(

(But I only speak for BFA applicants, not BA applicants.)

We were BFA Acting.

Apparently you have to call SUNY to get your decision. My son called this morning and got his expect rejection. Not at all happy with the way they treated their applicants throughout the entire process

I sincerely hope they send a letter. We spent over $100 on app and audition fees, spent hours on the app and then traveled half way across the country to audition. They owe us a 48 cent stamp and a form letter at the very least.

Still nothing in today’s mail! Guess we should assume it’s a no for at least the BFA but sure would be nice to get a response on the BA application. Do they really think that If a “Yes” letter arrives next week that everyone is able to drop everything and come to the Accepted Student Day next Saturday? We don’t all live with an hour or so away!
