Claver grant I will not be able to get…
Only for african american, asian …
that stinks…

Yeah, the Claver scholarships and grant are for African-American, Hispanic, Asian, and Native American students. =/
The Claver scholarship is merit-based while the Claver grant is need-based. But there are plenty of other scholarships and grants available.
Don’t be discouraged though. I have a pretty low EFC.

nothing again i hate waiting.

yankeesgirl, I called Loyola this morning (I’m a parent whose son received 2 acceptances to his safety schools, 1 waitlist at what we thought was a safety, and 1 denial at a target, but his first choices are Loyola and Providence, both targets so we are VERY nervous), they said they mailed them out yesterday, which means they should arrive no later than tomorrow anywhere in the continental US.

I feel your pain, the waiting is horrible.

Frankly we were shocked that he didn’t get into all 4 schools he’s heard from thus far, it must be incredibly competitive for the class of 2010. Good luck.

Another parent checking in here - we also called to find out what was going on after there was nothing in today’s mail - were also told they’d mailed them yesterday - but they didn’t say what time yesterday LOL - they could’ve put them in the mailbox at 6pm after the mail had gone out!

But anyway, it does look like they are now on their way and we should all be hearing something in the next few days…hang in there and keep all fingers/toes crossed!

ctmom2boys- thanks for calling them haha i was so nervous when i checked the mail today to find nothing -_- where else did your son apply if you dont mind me asking?

My son got the acceptance package today. We’re in the Baltimore suburbs.

Yankees,

He applied to UCONN, UVM, Northeastern, Boston College, American, Bryant, Providence and Loyola.

Churchill, so if it’s an acceptance it’s a package vs. an envelope? I get the mail first…

Waiting here on Long Island.
Got into:
Geneseo (good Package)
Albany
Cortland
Fordham
URI- not going
Siena
UCONN- need a good package

Waiting on:
Binghamton
Loyola
Gettysburg-could be as late as April 15 for their financial package
Vassar- a shot in the dark

The wait is killing me…Good luck to you all!!

Those are all really good schools. I got into Bryant which was a safety for me but Loyola is kind of a reach. A lot of kids from my school get into Loyola so I don’t really know about me, I think I could get in or waitlisted.

It’s an large envelope that says “You’re In!”. Inside is a letter and a folder of info.

Churchill did it include the financial package?

The acceptance package has a sheet labeled “Invest” that says that students will be notified about financial aid before April 10th if all the FAFSA & CSS PROFILE info was submitted on time.

OK Thanks…
The waiting never ends…

waitlisted.

He’s going to be devastated.

ME TOO. WAITLISTED. ■■■. i hate loyolas. cool.

I don’t understand, his SAT’s and ACT were higher than the average accepted and GPA was right in the middle (he didn’t do as well fresh and sophomore year), but last year it was a 3.8 and he was waitlisted?

His high school is a blue ribbon school too. This is beyond discouraging.

Almost no one gets in from the waitlist.

Difference between “priority waitlist” and regular waitlist. does anyone know the percentage on priority waitlist? The chances?

I wasn’t aware that there was a distinction?

I actually haven’t read the letter, my son isn’t home yet, but I can see that it says “waitlist reply” through the envelope.

My sons letter says “priority waitlist” i just found out it is reserved for the top 5% of applicants on the waitlist.
