<p>Is there anybody on the board who got capped last year and then appealed and got into either the summer program or regular admission? I already got in myself but one of my best friends didn't so we're trying to figure out how this all works.</p>

<p>***... they didnt even get offered summer program with those stats? some girl at my school got in (non top 10%) with a 1270 on the old scale.</p>
<p>^ UT was VERY holistic this year. There is a kid in my English class who is top 11% 2050 SAT but his only EC was SNHS officer and he didn't really think much of his essays because he thought with his stats he would surely get in. I feel bad for him. He's appealing for summer.</p>

<p>uhh... I think you have to write UT admissions office or call your local prospective center (they read your applications) and they might be able to shed light.</p>
<p>Yeah you send in a letter + anything else you think could push you into summer or fall (i.e. updated transcripts, resumes, a graded essay you wrote, new teacher rec, etc)</p>
