I’m currently a piano performance major at community college. I auditioned for UCI this January and just auditioned for CSULB last week and haven’t heard anything from either. I’m not too hopeful since I still need one more semester of Harmony and Musicianship according to assist.org but the counselor still encouraged me to apply and audition because it doesn’t hurt to try. Anybody here auditioned for UC or CSU? When do you hear back from them
I also applied for Music at UCR and neither UCI and CSULB I applied were for BM in Piano Performance, since I want to be a K-12 music teacher, I applied for Music Education-Instrumental for CSULB and BA in Music at UCI. Does anybody have similar experience or just currently a Music major and any of these schools that I applied please let me know about the audition/admission process got or just insights of how the programs are like. I found very little information about Music majors in California colleges everything’s just from the School websites and it’s such a bummer. Please share your experience I really appreciate it!!
