I had four missed calls from them: one of which they left a voicemail and three of which, they just hung up.
I googled one phone number and turns out the chemistry department called me (i'm majoring in chem), but I never got back to them simply because I didn't know who called me and what they called for.

anybody else get a phone call by any chance?

I got one too, except I answered it. Basically, they asked me if I had any questions and I could tell it was like a phone call nudging accepted students to come to neu

I got a phone call from a student in the program that I was admitted to. She just gave me an overview of her experience at the school and answered any questions I had. She gave me her phone number and told me to call if I had any other questions. I don’t think it’s a huge deal if you missed the call or anything.

alright. as long as it’s not anything too important
I don’t want to leave the impression that I’m irresponsible for not answering any phone calls. :x

They usually go through at the end and call people back if they never picked up. If you do have any questions, you can always call the admissions office.

It’s accepted students phonathon! A bunch of admissions workers sit in the office for three days calling everyone who got in EA. The international phonathons are the worst, since they have to do it at like 6 am… Don’t worry at all if you missed it or if you blew them off when they called. If you have any questions later on, just call the admissions office.

I got a call from a Marketing student in the honors program. I was accepted into both EA.
I too am not sure if I should call back because I’m not sure what to ask. lol

LOL WORD!
they finally left a voicemail and asked that I call them back ASAP about a private tour of the chemistry department where I talk to faculty, students, etc.
I’m socially awkward though so I don’t know how well off I’d be doing a one-on-one conversation with the department chair… xD

No!!! DO THAT!!! Referring to the chem guy above!

Seriously, the chemistry department chair is the nicest guy in the world, and if you get to know him, he’ll be your best bud for life. (aka when you want to move into undergrad research he’ll hook you up, and when you want to invite 3 extra people to the Celtics game that the ACS group goes to every year, you won’t have an issue…)

But seriously, if you get to tour a department, do it. It’s not like you’re uber special or anything-- some departments just don’t do tours, etc. Going to visit in and seeing the rooms you’ll be spending half your class time in is really informative.
