Yeah.

I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with not being the smartest in the class anymore. :/

Interesting study for all the interested:

Transfer Stigma?
<a href=“Publications | Center for Studies in Higher Education”>Publications | Center for Studies in Higher Education;

This is not an attempt to hijack a thread, but instead shows that transfer students do just fine at Berkeley and/or any UC–even if some of their fellow classmates/professors are extremely rude.

wow. great. thanks.

wow this is interesting…

Yeah I’m a little worried about it, especially since I’ll be in a major where all the classes will be graded on a curve. But, I gotta do what I gotta do. Just go with the flow and try to keep up!

yes.
im at ucr right now and i feel like at ucla they’re gonna be expecting alot moore than here…

im very scared.

That’s what I’m excited for. To be honest, I truly hated those kids who cried over getting a B on a test. Grades shouldn’t be everything. Just focus on your favorite subject and give your heart out to it.

i understand classmates being rude to transfers but professors? really?

Hey come on guys…you got into the school for a reason. Its okay to have some doubts, but if you doubt your ability to produce at a four-year then you shouldn’t be attending one. As far as being worried about competition, that’s life, the job market is a competition. Better to get used to it early. You will all do fine at UCLA, just work hard, the curve itself will be more of a benefit to those that study because even at UCLA, people slack off. Do not trick yourself into thinking that everyone there is brilliant. Not the case.

I figure stigma is just another reason to kick ass.

Im going to smoke those fools!
