Just trying to get an idea of how many other students are applying as transfers

yessss i am applying to Pepperdine for transfer Fall 2010. I am currently a freshman in college…you?

I applied for the Spring 2010 semester as a TV Production Major.

:)

Ooops sorry was this a spring 2010 thread? lol

I AAAM. HEARD ANYTHING YET? I actually received a call from admissions yesterday, asking for my academic recommendation. My application still shows incomplete. We’ll see what happens.

I am for Spring 2010.

imprezivrex same thing happened with me, but I guess admissions has loads of mail they have to sift through. Just call records, they are very helpful.

Same here, I just got my file completed yesterday. I had not sent them my final high school transcripts because I was told over the phone (incorrectly by one of their staff members) that since I had already completed 60 units of transferrable course work, I did not need to send them. Come to find out 3 weeks later this was all bull. At first they tried to tell me I would not be able to get them in on time since I had already passed the deadline. After repeated attempts (and overnighting them my hs transcripts) I finally spoke with an incredibly helpful staff member named Debbie, who went out of her way to process them(thank god for people like Debbie)…they also lost two of my personal rec’s, which I had to fax them. I know they lost them, because someone I spoke with somebody over the phone gave me the name of one of my recommender’s, and told me they had received it. After noticing a few days later that the rec’s were still on my todo list, I called back and this person denied the conversation ever took place, or at least tried to insinuate that I was remembering things wrong. So don’t feel alone its been really hectic/crazy for all of us. Get everything in, and supposedly all decisions are going to be made by November 15 and we wont have to stress anymore.

:)

Does anyone know if they waitlist transfer students? Or hold for fall grades? Also, I noticed on wavenet that they are now asking for tax information for financial aid. Are we supposed to submit this info before we have an admissions decision? I know fin-aid is on a rolling basis, but it seems weird to fill out all those forms before we know if we’re accepted.

I thought the same thing, so I called. They told me to turn in the fin-aid stuff asap so “if i was to be accepted” they could make there fin-aid offer with my decision letter. But then they told me they will still make there fin-aid offer with my decision letter, but if my parents or I estimated on our tax info on the FASFA that it could be subject to change pending arrival of the TO DO LIST tax info…if any of that makes sense, I’m really tired right now sorry
