I just got an email about interviewing this coming Saturday. Is anyone else from the Chicagoland area interviewing? I'm really excited for a chance to get some aid.

My son never got an email. He will be going to USC (Architecture) but any scholarship would help. His finaid was pretty good but we have to pay more compared to Syracuse. I finally figured out why. We did appeal. We will see what happens. We are in suburban Chicago.

msheft, I believe you had to seek out the scholarship by applying through the USC alumni association. I had my interview toda, and was told that the scholarship wasn’t marketed properly, and wasn’t too accessible so I was lucky that I found it. I imagine they’re only interviewing 5-10 people based on the email they sent me. They’re trying to revamp the way the USC Chicagoland alumni association does things because it’s not too known. For example, they told me there’s an admitted students reception in a week. I had not been emailed about the reception, which means most students in the Chicagoland area haven’t heard about the reception as well.

That we found out about. Under admitted students. We are going. It is next Sunday, April 19 from 2-4 pm at the Chicago Marriott on the Magnificent Mile.

What high school are you from? My son goes to Buffalo Grove HS.

Thanks for the info. Hopefully I’ll be able to attend. I go to Niles North HS and got accepted as a spring admit. I’m still waiting on financial aid, but I’ll likely end up at USC next year.
