Anybody have an interview yet?

I just found out that I have been assigned to an interviewer. I was wondering if anybody has had an interview yet. I'm really nervous. If people could share their interview experiences/stories and the kinds of questions the interviewer asked I would really appreciate it.

hi! i had an interview back in...err...october. it wasn't the least bit intimidating-wait, actually, it was, if you thought about the fact that my interviewer was currently at caltech doing mechanical engineering master's...hmm.

anyway, all she asked was about what i like to do outside of school/academics, and if there was anything "significant" that had happened in my life (no) and made a difference in my life...errr?

if there's anythign that you should do, write down questions that only a jhu alum/student could answer: about diversity in social groups, food (Haha), their favorite / least favorite things about jhu, why they picked it over other universities, atmosphere, rough political profile of the school, etc.

i was pretty nervous too, but i just tried to remind myself that these are more for YOU than for jhu...they are informative, and it's cool because you kind of get a personal taste of the student body by talking to the interviewer. after my interview, i was like "wow...now i REALLY REALLY wanna go to jhu...!!!" it will be a good experience- i promise! =)

i got interviewed on mid-november. it wasn't scary at all. then again i tend to think all of my interviews are fun, so it depends. plus i knew that JHU interview didn't count as much as rice did. i think interview was the least nervous thing during this application duration

so i met up with this lady in starbucks. she asked me lot of things about what i do afterschool and on weekends. the atmosphere was really like a chilled out conversation and questions were never serious like "what was your leadership role?" and we didn't focus too much on academics at all. i had lots of question ready to ask her, but i realized at the end that during the course of our conversation, i have already asked all of these questions.

i think the key to interview is to do little research about the university, know exactly what you like about it. but don't go over the top so that you will appear like you did the research only for the interview. and last, but importantly, ENJOY.

i had an interview a couple of days ago.. we met at her work place. it was pretty relaxing.. except for the lady was in a wheelchair and i was constantly afraid I would do soemthing awkward. but she asked the standard stuff - what i do for fun, what i do for extracurricular stuff, what i want the admissions councellors to know (i stressed chemistry as the only thing i can do well... questionable decision, but oh well)...

as for questions for the person.. ask them why they chose jhu.. they love it!
