Anybody hear back from U washington yet?

madfox:
ur international ? from where and where r u doing ur grade 12?
wat were ur stats?

Wow, it's been a while since I've visited this board. Congrats to Dopke for his acceptance! I honestly think that he's one of the few people who have been on this board forever. Good luck to those with apps going through comprehensive review.

Most of the schools I applied to (including UW) have already send their decisions. Anyone have a ballpark of how much UW offers for their financial package? (Grants vs. loans, etc...)

I just got my acceptance into University of Wahsington today....but I didn't get any scholarship info.....Do they send that later or did I not get any scholarships or what?

i got a scholarship letter like a week after i got my acceptance letter

Scholarships are diff from financial aid :P I think financial aid comes a bit later.
thanks JT :D

Neelesh; If you don't mind: What was your GPA and SAT? Thank you.

I think I"m the only one here who is still waiting and will get rejected :(

plat it's still way to early...there still are pple with AI 70+who havent gotten a response...pple below that usually hear at the end of march (although there have been some cases where pple got accepted with like 69 AI)

platinumtic; my d is still waiting with her 3.55 and 1240; 64 AI (although I wonder about the recalculation of GPAs. 3.55 is on her official transcript, but what did the UW come up with?) There have been three acceptances posted on this board with AI below 70; 68, 67, 69. They all had one thing in common. Every 70 AI above who has posted they are still waiting or recently got accepted are out of state or country.

I don't know what is going to happen with my d. However, based on what I have learned about this process I will be advising my son (now 12) in a whole different way, and I will be much more aggressive with admissions counselors and their talking points.

Hi, I'm new to this board and im pretty much decided that I want to go to this school as my main decision. But the reason why I'm posting on this forum to find out my probability of getting in. Here are my stats:

3.26 unweighted G.P.A
took 7 AP's and 1 honors
1230 on SAT 1
Track and Field
Community Service
Cross Country
Wrestling
Job at starbucks
Out of State (CA)
Have a disorder (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)
Parents didn't go to college
and Good essays (did 2 out of the 3 essays)

So what are my chances of getting in? From the looks of the board, it seems that i have a lower chance than most people.

ur chances are slim due to ur GPA. I understand that u've taken 7 ap classes which is impressive but I would be surprised if u got in...outta state just makes things worse

mmboys: these are my Stats:

SAT: 1370 (710M,660V)
ACT: 30
SAT IIs: Writing: 680, Math IIC-690, Chemistry-670
GPA-UW-3.75, W-3.914
State of residence: Idaho
asian indian male

Does UW use your unweighted gpa or weighted gpa in calculating your AI? well, with my weighted gpa, my AI is about an 85, and with my unweighted gpa is is about 80...

also, rovee, would you mind posting your stats and how good of a scholarship you got? (only if you are comfortable w/ this) I want to know what to expect...

4.0 uw, 32 act, instate, filipino female

i received the one that's just for instate people.. i believe that they have 4 scholarships that undergo automatic evaluation. one is the instate one that i received, the second is an outofstate scholarship, the third is a national merit scholarship, and the fourth has something to do mary gates but i don't do anything about that one... hope this helps

I still haven't heard anything either. 3.65/1220. I did check out the campus last week and it's pretty amazing! The buildings are all so huge! The dorms are pretty awful though but everything else looks great!

Hmm, yeah it seems like they may not have even started on the "Stack" with AIs lower than ~ 70. 65 and still no word.

I think Darkflames has a good shot. Esp with the course-load you have, and your disability, if you did well writing your essays- I'm assuming about OCD, you are definitely in. Also since you are first-generation college student (your parents didnt go to college), and UW looks for that, I'd say you have a better chance than other people who are under 70 AI.

I very much doubt that dopke. UW lets only the best of the best from outta state...GPA is pretty darn important to UW and if ur outta state u better have ATLEAST a 3.5 (still low for outta staters but other things like all the other stuff darkflames had could make up for it...except he had a 3.26 and not a 3.5).

I don't wanna sound mean or anything...just trying to give you honest feedback darkfl.

We'll see what UW considers important by their decision...

in two months everyone shall know =)
