I know Bellingrath weekend is coming up and I remember D knowing prior to that about her academic scholarship. But that was last year and things change fast. Good Luck to everybody on admissions and scholarships. It's a very good school and D is having a ball and learning a lot. What more could you want?.

I heard that Scholarships are mailed on March 31. We will know in a couple of days. Gl

Son is has heard from all of the schools he is most interested in and has some good offers, but is waiting on Rhodes scholarship info and the Robertson finalist weekend next weekend in order to make his choice. I believe Rhodes is 1st choice depending on $$.

Thanks for your posts about Rhodes.

No CC kids heading to Rhodes this weekend? I just know that D knew her academic scholarship amount before now .

S hasn't heard a word since his acceptance. The letter, dated 3/16, said news about financial aid offers would follow in about 2 weeks. I'm assuming that means merit scholarships, too. He won't be going to the accepted students weekend, though - too much else going on.

The silence has been deafening as far as money is concerned. D received a very nice handwritten postcard a couple days ago, referencing her essay topic. Other than that, no word beyond the acceptance. I have to admit that I am very surprised. Other schools are really kicking in on personal follow-ups --- two calls tonight, as a matter of fact. I wonder what is going on that things are so quiet (and I think personal follow up when things are "behind" on merit notification might go a long way).

Last year it did take a few weeks to find out about financial aid - I kept checking the online status and it finally appeared (before we received the letter).

did any of you receive an update of your acceptance/rejections (note, not financial aid) via the website?

Can you check any status online with Rhodes?????

I've never been able to find a place on their website to check.

You should have received a letter after you applied that had log-in info for the BannerWeb on the Rhodes website. You go to the top right-hand corner of the homepage, then click the log in icon. That will take you to another page. Find the BannerWeb section on the left-hand side (around the middle of the page). Click on that, and you will go to another log-in page. That is where you will put the actual log-in info (there is an "R" and numbers, then a password with numbers that were assigned to you). You will find admissions info (last time I was on, it didn't say "admitted," although D is admitted) as well as lots of other stuff. Financial aid info will be there once they get it going --- 07/08 is not there yet.

kelsmom, thanks but what im looking for is a specific area that says admitted or declined.

I don't think you can check acceptance/rejection online. We received a letter in the mail of our acceptance.

my BannerWEB account enables me to register for classes and stuff like that... if I weren't accepted, would I still have access to such pages? Thanks for the help guys, I'm international so mail gets here pretttyy slow.

Hard to say...may depend on each college but I know at Emory, they too have a page you can login and it has places to register for classes, next steps, etc....but they have stated that that doesn't mean anything yet as no decisions will be posted until later today. Then I guess if we're rejected, we will be blocked from the site after the rejection.

can someone who has been rejected at Rhodes please comment? If you have been rejected can you still access the BannerWEB class registration? Please help me here! I'm very, very desperate

p.s i tried calling rhodes but the office is closed. the time difference makes it hard for me to get them

Hey,

Can you email them maybe? Anyways, If you can regrister for classes on your account, I think you got in (Dont really know though)... But anyways, the mail will get there and just keep your hopes up.
