I want to get some information about 8-yr ba/md program(PLME)

If you are in this program can you help me?

and can you give me some information?

In specific, I want to know that what kind of Extra curriculum(like work as volunteer in hospital,.,,) do i have to do

and about academic. For example, Sat score or other else....

Thanks

PLME is the most selective one. Get as many volunteer hours as you possibly can and close to perfect SAT score and apply to other programs also.

Huh??? The amount of hours is the least relevant information. The programs want to know what you took away from your experiences. You don't need 500 hours to come away with an experience. You'd probably be better off splitting your time among various experiences that are under the same umbrella like volunteering, shadowing, and research. Doing one thing is good too, but doing various things will help you get an idea if medicine is right for you. You could also pickup a part time job.

PLME, as well as a couple other programs such as USC's Bacc/MD, likes to admit well-rounded candidates and wants to see if you have pursued other interests outside of medicine. This can range from anything from astrophysics research, visual arts, reading European literature, helping the environment, to... whatever.

Just make sure you remember to show that you have some experience in medicine as well (hospital volunteering, shadowing, etc.). Maintaining a high GPA and getting high SAT/ACT scores are also a must, as these things show that you can handle the academic intensity of medical school (or at least have the study skills to).

Whats a high GPA and SAT/ACT Scores in your opinion.

Dpends on a program. For PLME, close to perfect. You will be a competing with lot of perfect scorers applying to top programs.
